Amazon Bagging Non-Compliance | Simply explained

Bagging Non-Compliance

A Bagging non-compliance chargeback occurs when a product that requires a protective bag is not bagged or is improperly bagged. Products that must be bagged include those needing protection against damage, dust, or leakage, such as a child’s stuffed animal without packaging or a bottle of liquid to prevent spillage. The chargeback fee is EUR 0.55 per unit.

To prevent such a chargeback, products should be placed in a transparent bag bearing a suffocation warning. The bag should be sealed for protection, and it must allow barcode scanning without opening the packaging. Bagging helps minimize damage and reduce returns due to product contamination.

If a chargeback appears erroneous, a dispute can be initiated. Supporting evidence, including images showing the purchase order, shipping label, and properly packaged product, should be provided. Proper packaging demonstrates that the product required no additional preparation upon arrival at the fulfillment center.
