Amazon Brand Verification | Simply explained

Brand Verification

A brand distinguishes a vendor’s goods or services from others through features like name, term, design, or symbol. A brand name can be spoken or written, identifying a product, service, or company, helping consumers remember their preferred choices.

To verify a brand name, ensure it adheres strictly to guidelines:

  • Case Sensitivity: Enter it exactly as in the Brand Registry application.
  • Special Characters: Exclude symbols like ™, ®, €, etc.
  • ASIN/Text: Avoid using ASINs or terms like “not applicable.”
  • Match Legal Name: The brand name must align with the legal entity name or GS1 brand.
  • Amazon-owned Brands: Do not use Amazon brands like Blink or Alexa.

For brand updates or deletions, contact Vendor Central. If you’re the manufacturer, register the brand with Amazon, and provide GS1 certificates. Non-manufacturers need the same and a resale certificate. For bulk updates, the Item Maintenance Form can be utilized.
