Amazon Construction Products Regulation (CPR) | Simply explained

Construction Products Regulation (CPR)

The Construction Products Regulation (CPR) refers to Regulation (EU) 305/2011, which standardizes the marketing of construction products in the EU. It ensures safety and performance through specific requirements for manufacturers, importers, and distributors:

  • Manufacturer Responsibilities: Include drawing up a Declaration of Performance, affixing CE marking, and maintaining documentation for 10 years. They must ensure consistency in production and storage conditions.

  • Importer and Distributor Responsibilities: Importers must verify the manufacturer’s compliance and maintain documentation. Distributors must ensure the product is sold with the appropriate documentation and marking.

The regulation covers products intended for permanent incorporation in construction works, like cement or bricks. Compliance is required for products sold in both the EU and the UK, following Brexit-related adjustments.
