  • Responsibilities: Manufacturers are required to ensure product traceability and maintain records of their origin, which must be available for inspections.
  • Scope: The regulation affects manufacturers, importers, and suppliers altering fertilizer characteristics.

Effective from July 16, 2022, the regulation will be replaced by the new EU Fertilizing Products Regulation (EU) 2019/1009, introducing expanded requirements and classifications. Manufacturers are responsible for compliance, and non-compliance may result in market restrictions.
