Expiration-dated Products
The term expiration-dated products refers to any items that have a shelf life or lose effectiveness over time, as per guidelines for vendors. This includes products without explicit expiration dates if components can expire, like a bundled coffee machine. Examples include consumables (chips, tea, supplements), topical products (creams, soaps), and cleaning items (disinfectants).
-
Shelf Life Requirements: Products must allow sufficient consumption time plus 90 days when checked in at fulfillment centers. Exceptions are possible for items with a shelf life under 90 days.
-
Labeling: Proper labeling of expiration or manufacturing dates is mandatory. Medical devices require YYYY-MM-DD format. Incorrect labeling may lead to delayed processing or products being marked as expired.
Non-compliance with these guidelines might result in disposal at fulfillment centers, and the inventory cannot be returned.
