Product categorization at Amazon involves determining the location of an item on the platform using catalog attributes and similar item listings. Categories can be specified with fields such as Category – Subcategory – Item Type Keyword / Recommended Browse Node.

Categorization entries are challenging to alter post-submission unless errors are present. Changes require contacting customer service and can only be made from options available in the initial drop-down menu. Only one suggested categorization is allowed, without additional keywords or nodes. For updates, the path is: Contact Us > Manage My Catalog > Browse Node / Categorization Update.
