To be listed on Amazon, squishy toys must adhere to specific regulations, standards, and requirements, such as the Toy Safety Directive 2009/48/EC, EN 71-1 for mechanical properties, and EN 71-3 for the migration of certain elements.

Additional compliance includes a Declaration of Conformity and accredited laboratory test reports. Product listings must also display toy safety warnings and ensure that instructions, labels, and warnings are in the language of the intended country of sale.
