Supply Chain Standards
Amazon’s Supply Chain Standards require that products sold or sent to its stores adhere to principles that often surpass legal requirements. These standards emphasize the protection of human rights, environmental care, and the fundamental dignity of workers. Issues evaluated under these standards include forced labor, discrimination, environmental hazards, unsafe working conditions, and ethical violations.
Failure to comply may result in actions like returning inventory at the seller’s expense, suspension or termination of selling privileges, inventory destruction without reimbursement, or ending the business relationship. Vendors may need to provide documentation regarding their products or supply chain to verify compliance.
