Universal ISOFIX Adapters

Universal ISOFIX adapters are kits designed to convert non-ISOFIX child car seats into ISOFIX-compatible ones. According to tests by the German Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA), these adapters do not ensure the same safety level as integrated ISOFIX systems, which are directly attached to the car’s chassis. These adapter kits may allow for excessive seat movement during an impact, posing a safety risk. Their use is discouraged in favor of manufacturer-specific ISOFIX solutions that securely lock onto the vehicle’s structure.
