# Amazon Rankings

The following video gives you a good overview about this module:

The visibility of your products in the search results is an essential contributor to success. The easier your products can be found on Amazon, the more often they will be purchased. You should, therefore, continuously monitor the visibility of your products in order to detect changes in good time and take countermeasures, if necessary.

AMALYTIX does not monitor a predefined keyword set. The requirements and products of our customers are too individual. AMALYTIX customers can, therefore, deposit their own keyword set. With the help of the search module, the relevant keywords can be searched quickly.

In the initial stage, we recommend that you monitor only the relevant keywords. These are usually the keywords that customers search for most often.

To store the search terms in AMALYTIX, go to “Visibility / Search result rankings” and click on the button with the title "Add keywords." In the popup window, you can now add all your keywords row by row. You must also select the marketplace to be monitored for these keywords.

You can also tag the keywords. A tag helps you to group several keywords, for example, in order to examine the visibility of certain keyword groups.

After the keywords have been added, it usually doesn't take long for the first rankings to become visible. And from now on, these keywords will be monitored once per week.

AMALYTIX automatically displays the search results for the products it finds either under Seller Products or in the Watchlist.

AMALYTIX shows you the current search result position for each product as well as its position 7 and 30 days ago—assuming there is sufficient historical data.

The last 30 days column also displays a small spark line that shows the progress of the ranking for this keyword for this product.

Google Search Volume

In the column "Search volume," AMALYTIX shows you the search volume of the search engine Google for this keyword. Since there is no data from Amazon in this respect, we have decided to use this source as an approximate value. In the column "Search volume history," you can see the history of the search volume over the year. This allows you to determine whether specific search terms are searched for more frequently in summer or winter.

Click on the exclamation mark icon to mark a keyword as "important." For essential keywords, you can activate an alert that notifies them if the search result position deteriorates. You can then set the threshold value for this under "Settings / Account / Alerts."

Click on the button with the "Diagram" view to display a chart showing the search results of all products for this keyword over time. As with all other tables, you can show or hide the respective time series by clicking on the name of the product.

Adverse developments in turnover can often be explained by decreasing visibility. Continuous monitoring of keywords is, therefore, an essential task in Amazon selling and AMALYTIX can provide useful support here.

# Amazon Keyword Research

The following video gives you a good overview about this module:

Keywords play a central role in both listing optimization and marketing campaigns. For you, as a seller or vendor, it is essential to understand what potential customers are looking for in your products.

The more relevant search terms that are included in your listings or campaigns, the more frequently those products will be found, and the more frequently they will be purchased.

AMALYTIX provides you with a powerful tool to identify relevant search terms.

The keyword research process is often divided into two steps: In step 1, you try to identify as many keywords as possible. Step 2 is about reducing this long list to a few relevant keywords.

Suppose we want to sell a yoga mat. To understand what customers are looking for on Amazon, enter the seed keyword "yoga mat" into Keyword-Suggest to get more searches containing the term "yoga mat."

As a source, choose “Amazon”, but you could also search Google and Google Shopping to get even more results. Now click on "Generate Keywords" and wait.

At the same time, we start the research on competitor keywords. Here again, enter the term "yoga mat," and in the next step select the products which seem relevant to this term.

This process should now be repeated with other keywords such as "gymnastic mat." We recommend using three to five source keywords. In this demonstration, we do without it, because the procedure is the same.

You can also use the "Add your own keywords" option to add keywords that you have obtained from other sources, such as Google Adwords or other keyword tools on the net.

Now we have a long list of keywords in the middle column. To avoid checking each keyword individually, we now separate the list and sort it by frequency in descending order. We can now delete non-relevant results with one click.

AMALYTIX also offers you the possibility of editing this list further, e.g., by replacing certain characters with others. You can also delete multiple keywords that match specific patterns, or add text at the beginning or end of a keyword.

You can download this list now to use as a basis for listing optimization, or to add it as keywords in your campaigns.
